Volunteers In Public Schools

VIP
Mission Statement
To be an advocate for the involvement in public schools by providing support and commitment to quality education.
Who can volunteer?
Foster Grandparents
The Foster Grandparent Program assists in many areas of the schools.

Parents are not the only volunteers at schools today. Volunteers include mothers, fathers, grandparents, business people, former students and caring community members. Anyone who wants to help can make a difference! Your commitment will enable children to receive the time and attention they need to achieve.

Donuts for Dads
The Donuts for Dads Program is very successful and the kids get so excited to see the dads get involved.
There are 35 campuses in Midland ISD. Volunteers are needed at all campuses in all grade levels. Volunteers assist in the classroom, with clerical duties, share computer knowledge, help as bilingual tutors, help with reading, support the PTA and much more. Volunteers are also needed in the areas of fine arts, athletics and career and technology. Each campus has a VIPS Coordinator who plans all volunteer efforts. Campuses work through the coordinator to organize and implement activities.
